 the history of geometric patterns

Islamic decoration makes great use of geometric patterns which have developed over the centuries. Many of these derived from various earlier cultures Greek, Roman, by zantine centrel  asian, and Persian. They are usually distinguished from the arabesque, the term for decoration in islamic art based on curving and branching vegetal forms. But sometimes foliage and linear geometric patterns are combined in a single design, and some purely abstract linear patterns adopt designs that seem clearly derived from vegetal arabesque ones. The geometric designs have evolved into beautiful and highly complex patterns, still used in many modern day thing like tattooing/wallpaper/
the flower of life
The flower of life holds a secret symbol created by drawing 13 circles out of then. flower of life
By doing this, one can discover the most important and sacred pattern in the universe. This is the source of all that exists; it's called the fruit of life It contains 13 informational systems. Each one explains another aspect of reality. Thus these systems are able to give us access to everything ranging from the human body to the galaxies. In the first system, for example, it's possible to create any molecular structure and any living cellular structure that exists in the universe. In short every living creature.
the beginning of geometric patterns
The word ‘geometry’ comes from the Greek words  geo meaning earth  and  metria meaning measure.
Along with arithmetic  geometry was one of the two fields of pre-modern mathematics.
Ancient Egyptians used geometry principles as far back as 3000 BC, using equations to approximate the area of circles among other formulas.

health and safety

health and safety
10 things you need to no if .working with in the classroom or studio
1.  Take off outdoor clothes when you enter the classroom.sleeves and scarves could get caught on something or dip in something)

2. Tuck bags and coats under the table or hang them on the hook if available (stops them becoming a trip hazard),

3. Clean up spilled liquids immediately to avoid slips and falls,

4.Walk sensibly around the room, (obvious)

5. Leave food and drink outside the classroom (eating with painty hands is not a good idea, tuna on you painting is also not a good idea)

6. Always wash your hands before leaving the room (not great to go to lunch with clay still up your finger nails)

7.  Walk sensibly with scissors and other sharp objects (you would be surprised how many students don't realise they should do this.)

8. Tie long hair back (don't want any nasty incidents with hair being caught equipment,

9. Wear an apron (it protects you and your clothes),

10. Listen to the teacher (not just for the teachers own sanity but because they might be giving important health and safety information such as when to leave the classroom during a fire drill)

description of his techniques and processes: taking from the lain macarthur websit
his work can be described as surreal and unique in its own way. Using mostly pencil, watercolours and pigment pens, create portraits of ordinary people but create them in a unusual way by, embellishing patterns and watercolour effects into the portrait to give a vivid explosion effect transforming their faces from something plain to something entirely bizarre and wonderful at the same time.
